- Develop and operate pig farms - Danish knowhow

In 2006, spurred by the great market opportunities offered by the eastern European countries, the company decided to turn its attention to the Romanian market. Near the town of Focsani, about 175 Km north of Bucharest, an abandoned farm complex, built during communism, was purchased and renovated. With the geographical scope increase, the company’s name was changed to DCH International A/S.

The first Romanian production unit was established in 2006: Suintest Prod (owned by Premium Porc SRL) and in 2008 the next farm was established, Consinterfin (Consinterfin SRL). Also in 2006, the subsidiary Agro Investments Moldova SRL was established in order to insure the group’s desire to own and farm its own land, for reducing dependency on external grain suppliers.

The subsidiary Premium Porc Feed SRL was established in 2008 with the goal of controlling feed quality for all our pig farms. Feed production started in May 2010.

From 2006, Premium Construction SRL was a department under Premium Porc SRL. With the expansion and increase in number and size of projects, Premium Construction SRL was established in 2008 as a subsidiary company with the purpose of managing construction activities within the group.

In 2011, Degaro SRL was taken over from Spanish company Campofrio. Degaro SRL operates a sow farm (Fantanele Farm – located close to Fantanele village) and a pig fattening farm (Sibioara Farm – located close to Sibioara village)

In July 2013, Negreni farm, in Olt County, becomes the newest acquisition within the group, after being purchased by Premium Construction SRL. In 2014, Premium Construction SRL changes its name to Premium Porc Negreni.
